With advancements in technology and the integration of mobile apps with services, it is now possible to check the real-time location of Indian Railways train on Google Maps. You can check where the train exactly is and also track the location of the train on Maps just as you track loved ones on WhatAapp or any other family location-sharing app.

Steps to Check Real-Time Location of Train on Google Maps

Here is the Simple Guide for Checking the Real-Time Location of a Train on Google Maps

  1. Open Google Maps.
  2. Look for the destination city/town and click on the Station icon on Map. I clicked on Secunderabad Junction station.

  3. You will see the list of trains coming in and moving out from the station. Look for your train; I am looking for Hyderabad Special Fare Train.

  4. Now tap on the train info from the list, and you will see the entire route map along with the real-time location of the train that is updated every few minutes.

    In the 1st image below, the train I am looking for departed from Wanaparti road and is expected to arrive at Mahbubnagar with a 48 min delay. In the second image, you will see the entire route map of the train, and in 3rd image, when you click on the Train icon, you will see when the data was updated.
