Google Released a lite version of Google Maps for a low-end Android device with the name Google Maps Go. The App is a part of optimized Google apps for Android Oreo Go OS and for Smartphones with less RAM and processing power.
The Google Maps Go is exclusively available for specific devices (Android 4.1+ with RAM less than 1GB) and if you have a high-end phone, then you might have seen the message “Your Device Isn’t Compatible with this Version”.
The App is actually a Progressive Web App and you can install it without downloading any APK with a simple method using Android Chrome Browser Setting.

How to Install Google Maps Go Your Android Mobile?
Below are the simple steps to install the Google Maps Go on your incompatible device without downloading any Apk.
Step 1. First Copy the URL given below.

Step 2. Open the Chrome Browser and Paste the URL
Step 3. Once the Page is Loaded, click on the 3 dots on right top corner to open more options
Step 4. Here tap on the option Add to Home Screen.
Step 5. The Google Maps Go App will be downloaded and Added to your Home Screen.
The interface very much simplified, there are fewer animations but it is not less functional, in fact, we can find practically the same features as the “normal” version of Google Maps.
Conclusion: I tried the APK file on many devices but none of them supported my high-end phones. So, the only way to install the App is downloading the Progressive Web App (PWA) using chrome browser. And the post would have helped you in same.

Well thanks it works
I prefer.not to use Chrome cuz it is power hog. The download says it requires Chrome. Would be nice to use Edge or Duck Duck Go
