Record and Download WhatsApp Video Call on Android

WhatsApp is one of the most powerful internet services offering free messaging, voice and video call over the data. With over a billion monthly active users and its connectivity, it has become an indispensable part of every internet user. WhatsApp uses the internet data to send the messages which include text, images, videos, GIF, documents, user location, audio clips, phone contacts and voice notes to other users in your contact. Today in this post I will talk about how you can record and download the video call which you perform over the WA. Android has some restrictions over the recording of system sound but you can record and download the same using some tweaks which I will tell you in this article. Internal Audio Recording is No More Supported by Android and is Stopped by Google. It means that updated Screen Recorder Apps do not support Audio Recording while you are on Video Call.

As I said above the Screen Recorder Apps with updated versions do not support the recording of Internal Audio due to some norms from Google. Earlier Android used to support the internal record but later withdraw that support.

I tried a few older versions and found the version 3.9 of AZ Screen Recorder simultaneously supports Video and Internal Audio recording. It is an old version of the App thus would bypass the restrictions impeded by Google.

Here are the steps to record and download WhatsApp Video Call

1. Download the AZ Recorder
2. Open AZ and start the recording (You may see a sticky icon the screen which you can use)
3. Make a call
4. Now your call will be recorded along with video and Audio

Alternatively, you can also try DU Screen Recorder. Just search for an older version of the App. This will do the trick. Start Recording and make a call to save the conversation.

Conclusion: With this App, you can record and download WhatsApp Video Call on Android. The new versions of the screen recorders don’t support the audio but with the App above you can save sound and enjoy the record later. You may face some issues depending on the version of your device as older versions may be incompatible for some devices but you can surely give it a try.
