Since the COVID19 epidemic began about two years ago, we have been gradually adjusting to the changes it has brought us. For instance, the iOS 15.4 beta enables users of iPhone 12 or later to add their vaccine certificate to their Apple Wallet so they can use it anywhere.
With the moving times, it’s important to keep your required travel documents with you, as at any moment of time, the govt officials can ask you to present your vaccination certificate or other health-related documents.
Instances of travel such as railway stations, airports, or even govt buildings such as banks, clear offices, etc., do require citizens to present their vaccine certification. Now with the new iOS 15 feature, users can easily save this certificate in a digital form and present it whenever required.
Steps to Add COVID-19 Vaccine Pass to iPhone with Apple Wallet
Being able to quickly obtain our proof of vaccination has become crucial as more public locations require people to produce their certificates when visiting their property. Apple permits its users to use this feature in specific regions.
Note: Before using the below feature, make sure iOS 15 or later is installed (iOS 15.4 beta or later for EU citizens) on your iPhone.
- Launch the iPhone Camera app.
- Place the COVID19 immunization card’s QR code in front of it.
- The COVID-19 Vaccination button should be clicked when it appears.
- Press the Add to Wallet & Health button.
- Voila! Your immunization record is now stored in the Apple Health and Wallet applications.
The card will instantly sync to the Wallet app on watchOS if you have an Apple Watch. As a result, you can double-click the side button to access the certificate.
Final Words
Having access to the vaccination card can help you save time as well as effort when it comes to health verification by officials. Although at some places, govt officials do also require you to carry a printed copy of the certificate. So make sure you carry that as well. However, in most cases, you will be allowed entry into any social or govt entity by showing the digital vaccine certificate via your Apple wallet.
